Maynor is a third generation coffee producer, with more than 30 years experience in the coffee farming biz.
Being a huge animal lover, Maynor has named each of his coffee plots after his favourite animals. The farm is nestled in La Sierra de Las Minas, in San Martin, Guatemala, an area surrounded by humid forests and at an optimal altitude for growing coffee. Maynor involves the whole family in the process of producing specialty coffee, overseeing the farm and washing station with his older son, while his other sons support him with the drying and processing.
In addition to working with coffee, Maynor also works in his carpentry workshop. That he has been able to build all the furniture in his house brings him great satisfaction and pride. He believes he has found the perfect balance between coffee and carpentry - two jobs that keep him busy. Maynor's desire is to be known internationally for his high standards. He "wants roasters to enjoy the taste of his coffee so they continue to source it for many years to come." We hope for the same.
