Introducing Yara Coffee, a labor of love and dedication from Benedicto Yara, whose life revolves around the rich and flavorful world of coffee. Beyond being a mere crop on his farm, coffee is an integral part of Benedicto's existence, shaping his family's livelihood and weaving through the fabric of their daily lives. This project proudly named "Yara Coffee," is a testament to the resilience and commitment of Benedicto, his wife Amparo, and their son Yeison.

Benedicto's journey with coffee took a turn when he faced a health challenge – a heart attack. Despite this setback, his unwavering spirit and the support of his family allowed Yara Coffee to thrive. Recognizing the importance of family in the world of coffee cultivation, Benedicto instilled in them the shared objective of producing exceptional coffee and securing fair prices.

"As I have learned from my family, they have learned from me over the years. I trust them because I know that they do a great job producing fantastic coffees," shares Benedicto. Yara Coffee is not just a business; it's a legacy passed down through generations.

Benedicto employs the traditional Colombian washed processing method. The resulting flavor profile is characterized by notes of Dried Mango, Golden Peach, and Panela. Our head green coffee buyer and founder, Aaron, first connected with Benedicto back in 2013 during a visit to his farm. Since then, Aaron has eagerly awaited the opportunity to bring Benedicto's exceptional coffee to Melbourne.
