Ethiopia Adnan Natural Special Prep
Sourced from the Kebina village in Sidama, this all-rounder coffee is the result of the dedication of 700 small-holder producers who carefully grow local heirloom varietals around the Adnan washing station. Expect vibrant flavours of peach, cola, and kiwifruit in every cup.
What makes this coffee truly special is its "Special Prep" or "Premium" designation in Ethiopia. Cherries are selected from a limited group of farmers, with 90% picked at perfect ripeness, 5% semi-red, and 5% overripe. This careful sorting process ensures that only the best cherries are used. These cherries are processed and stored separately from other lots, often collected in a single day's harvest (day lot). The result is a small, high-quality batch each year.
After sorting, the cherries are naturally processed and spread on raised drying beds. They are constantly rotated to ensure even drying, which can take anywhere from 8 to 25 days, depending on the weather. This meticulous drying method locks in the sweetness and complexity, producing a clean, dynamic cup that works beautifully with any brew method.
